A therapy known as the convalescent plasma therapy has been effectively recovering Covid-19 patients from the pandemic. The treatment which already got approval in the UK and US uses blood from recovered patients to help infected patients get better within three days, a study claims.
This mounted the crust as the global infection passed 1.4 million on Tuesday with 81,049 deaths and 300,759 recoveries. The efficiency of the new breakthrough was tested in 10 infected patients in China who were ill in hospital and rapid recovery rate was discovered within 72 hours after the therapy.
The patients were given a dose of plasma donated from COVID-19 survivors, which had the antibodies necessary for their immune systems to evacuate the virus.
