Unidentified gunmen have killed 66 people in Kanjuru local government area of Kaduna state, north-central Nigeria in what many to be pre election violence.
Among the dead are 22 children and 12 women. The details of the attack remain sketchy but the state governor, Nasir el-Rufai has vowed to bring the perpetrators to book.
