It was a day to remember in anal of Nigerian society and political circle when on the first of October 2021. The office of the citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria gave the Nigerian National Award of Excellence to 30 outstanding Nigerians who have contributed to the socio economic and political development of Nigeria which was hosted by the @sapioclub cc @sonnia_agu
It was customary every year that the founder and Ambassador Sonnia Agu dresses as a Hero to encourage more Nationalism, so it was not a surprise or shock when the beautiful Ambassador Sonnia Agu known for her dexterity given out to people in need came out in full regalia in Nigeria national colour of green and white which Ngozi Okonjo Iweala was also complimented.
The special guest of Honour at the Excellence Award Ceremony includes sapioclub Professor Ademola Abass, a lawyer, author, security expert, adviser on overseas affairs & investment, Lagos State (Ex) and Rev. Fr. Dr. Wilfred Nwachukwu, resident priest at St Leo Ikeja.
A curricuularist from the University of Lagos Nigeria, while father of the day and mother of the day were Prince (Dr) Yemisi Adedoyin Shylion a graduate in Engineering, and Ms. Evelyn Oputu a Nigerian banker and former managing director, Bank of Industry who became an executive Director First Bank of Nigeria between 1991 and 1997 and alter served as the Chief Executive officer, Managing Director of The Bank of Industry from December 2005 to April 2014
Also awarded at the great event was John Olatunji a superintended of police in the Nigeria police force who joined the organization January 2010 and has served in different capacities and led several operations. Seun kuti a Nigerian musician singer and the youngest son of the famous Afrobeat pioneer, Fela Kuti. Seun that lead his father’s former band Egypt 80. Was also given the award of Youths activist of the year while Dr. Henrieta Onwugbuale as Entrepreneurship and Impact investing personality. MR. Abisoye Fagade, and businessman, philanthropist, politician and man of the people was given an award as outstanding Human. Don Jazz a popular showbiz was awarded for all he has been doing for the youth
Speaking at the event, Dr. Ambassador Sonnia Agu stated,“This is the genesis of my humility. I’m thankful to God for this awareness and consciousness of his rare gift and thoughts in creating me. I am and I am a woman. Not just any woman, I am an African Nigerian Woman and today I wear the spirits of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala for every woman.

Today Dr. Ngozi we celebrate you, Nigeria celebrates you and you are my Nigerian hero for 2021. (Every year, I dress up as a Nigerian woman who has inspired me one way or the other. From Felas mum, Funmilayo Ransum Kuti to Adunni Oluwole (the woman who spoke), to my mum and now Dr Ngozi and continue, so help me God. Thank you for living selflessly; giving us bragging rights, shinning your light brightly for us all as AFRICANS AND PUTTING NIGERIA ON THE MAP FOR GOOD. We pray that God’s Grace, wisdom and protection continues to shine brightly on you, in Jesus name. Amen. Happy Independence Day Once More!
