JUST IN [FUEL SUBSIDY]: President Tinubu To Address Nigerians Today

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, will address Nigerians on Monday (today) at 7pm.

The President’s Special Adviser on Strategy, Communication and Special Duties, Dele Alake, undisclosed this in a statement on Monday morning.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a broadcast to the nation on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 7 pm.

“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” the statement read.

Of course, the broadcast may be connected to the subsidy removal on petrol, and its effect on Nigerians.

Last week, the Nigeria Labour Congress, said Nigerians lost their peace of mind following the “Subsidy is gone” comment made by Tinubu during his May 29, 2023, inauguration.

The labour congress in a statement jointly signed by its National President, Joe Ajaero, and Secretary-General, Emmanuel Ugboaja, in Abuja, faulted the Tinubu administration over its “unfriendly” policies while adding that the administration had continued to treat Nigerians as slaves.

ZebraNews reported earlier today that the NLC has started mass mobilisation workers ahead of its planned nationwide strike scheduled to begin Wednesday.
