United Must Keep Pressure On EPL Table Toppers – Lukaku

Manchester United’s Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku celebrates scoring the opening goal with Manchester United’s English striker Marcus Rashford during the English Premier League football match between Manchester United and West Ham United at Old Trafford in Manchester, north west England,
Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku has urged the team to keep on winning if they are to catch up with others in the Premier League.

United came from back-to-back defeats in the league to secure a 2-0 win over Burnley on Saturday.

While reacting to the victory, the Belgian said the team showed loads of character, unlike the previous matches.

“That was really big. In the last game, we started well but didn’t take our chances. This time we did,” Lukaku said.

“We knew we had to grind out the result in the second half. We have character and we need to be more like that.

“The last game against Tottenham – we were disappointed. Today we did score and we have to keep winning to try and catch the teams above us.

“Now we go into the international break and can switch off a bit. The manager has time to analyze our performances for the rest of the games in September.”

Lukaku netted a brace in the game to relieve pressure on under-fire coach Jose Mourinho.

Liverpool are top of the league log with 12 points from four matches.
