PDP Will Reclaim Ondo State – Governor Makinde

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has intensified its efforts to secure victory in the upcoming Ondo State governorship election. Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State played host to a convergence of PDP leaders from the Southwest, all united in their resolve to ensure the party’s success in the forthcoming polls.

The meeting, which took place in Ibadan, saw the attendance of prominent figures such as Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, former Ondo State Governor Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, and the PDP’s standard bearer for the Ondo election, Agboola Ajayi. The leaders discussed strategies and expressed optimism about reclaiming Ondo State from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Governor Makinde, speaking to the press, emphasized the party’s readiness to take back control of Ondo State. “The PDP is poised to reclaim what is rightfully ours. We have the strategy, the unity, and the determination to win the governorship election come November 16, 2024,” he stated.

The PDP’s candidate, Agboola Ajayi, expressed gratitude for the support of the party leaders. “The unflinching support of our leaders is the bedrock of our campaign. With their backing, we are confident of a resounding victory that will bring progress to Ondo State,” Ajayi remarked.

The Southwest PDP leaders have pledged to mend any internal rifts and present a united front to secure a win in the November election. This show of solidarity is a clear indication of the party’s commitment to not only win the election but also to address the aspirations of the people of Ondo State.

As the political atmosphere heats up, all eyes are on the PDP as it gears up for what promises to be a fiercely contested governorship election in Ondo State.
