Princess Bunmi Oguntibeju Shines Again, Bag New Appointment

Honour is usually given to those to whom honour is due. This is why Princess Bunmi G. Oguntibeju has been honoured with the appointment to serve as the Programme Director for Lagos State by the Civil society organisation on community advancement and humanitarian empowerment initiatives in Nigeria, CSCHEI.

CSCHEI made the declaration along with others for the 36 States of Nigeria. The inauguration took place in Abuja, the FCT when the Organization was unveiled towards the end of last year.

Princess Bunmi G. Oguntibeju has proven to be a useful tool as she has served in various capacities both with the Lagos Government and several Civil Societies. Service is one of her core values which fits very well into the mission of CSCHEI. Bunmi is an Alumni of Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education, Ijaniki, Anglia Ruskin University, Government College, Ikorodu and the University of Lagos Staff School
She was West African Liaison Officer for WAELE ACELFA and former Vice Chairman of Para-athletic, Lagos State Sports Commission. Her foray also includes her service as a member of the Constitution Review Committee, Lagos State ad Secretary, ANCOR/EFCC. She is the founder of Virtuous Values Network Africa.
As the programme Director for Lagos State, Princess Bunmi G. Oguntibeju is poised to take actions that will positively project Nigeria by coordinating, organizing and mobilizing non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs) and Faith Based Organisations (FBOs) on community advancement and humanitarian empowerment in Nigeria.

Hon Yusuf therefore charged the state Programme Directors to aggressively pursue the core mandate of CSCHEI by collaborating and synergizing with the focal person on Sustainable Development Goals, Local Government authorities, traditional institutions and community development councils to deliver on their mandate.

CSCHEI’s core mandate is the domestication of UN Sustainable development Goals in Nigeria. Lagos State is poised to lead in the actualization of this. Bunmi is poised to steer the ship towards achieving these goals.

During the inauguration of CSCHEI, attended by dignitaries which includes; the Belgium Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Ambassador Pieter Leenknegt; the Chairman, Senate committee on Basic and secondary education, Senator Lawan Adamu Usman; former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Alhaja Buhari Bala; former Special Adviser to the President on Social Development and Special Duties, Mrs Sara Akuben Pane and a host of others, the Director General Hon Kunle Yusuf (MON), announced that the Civil Society Organization on Community Advancement and Humanitarian Empowerment (CSCHEI), “has been endorsed as an umbrella establishment body saddled with the responsibility to be coordinating, mobilizing and promoting registered and accredited NGOs, Community-Based Organization and Faith Based Organization within the scope of community, social and Humanitarian development in Nigeria”

There are over 45,000 various NGOs registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission in Nigeria and over 17,000 of them are within the scope and mandate of CSCHEI.
