Bandits Abducts Zamfara Bank Manager

Bandits have kidnapped the bank manager of TAJ Bank’s Zamfara State branch, Mansur Kaura. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday when the assailants invaded his residence at Rijiyar Gabas area in Gusau, the state capital.

According to eyewitness Musa Ibrahim, the bandits arrived at around 1 am, armed with sophisticated weapons and began shooting sporadically. They forcefully entered Mr. Kaura’s home, abducting him and taking him to an undisclosed location. The manager’s cries for help went unheeded as residents were too frightened to intervene.

This kidnapping follows a series of abductions that took place on Sunday at the Piko area of the Bwari Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory, where 13 people were taken. The bandits are reportedly demanding a staggering N900 million ransom for the release of the Abuja victims.

The police spokesperson for the state, Yazid Abubakar, was not available for comment at the time of reporting. However, the FCT police command has promised to investigate the abduction of the 13 people in the Piko area as the community grapples with fear over the recent attack.

The brazen abduction of Mansur Kaura has sent shockwaves through the community and raised serious concerns about the security situation in the region. The authorities are urged to take immediate action to secure his release and prevent further incidents of this nature.
