FUEL SUBSIDY: NLC Commences Protests Across The Country [PICTORIAL]

Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has commenced a ‘peaceful protest’ across the country.

The NLC president, Joe Ajaero, alongside other labour leaders assembled at the Unity Fountain at Abuja for a “peaceful protest”.

Also, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Lagos commenced its planned protest against subsidy removal too.

The congress assembled at Ikeja under-bridge earlier in the morning and are currently marching to the state House of Assembly.

The procession has resulted in a gridlock in the area.

The NLC had asked the Federal Government to “immediately deal decisively with the criminal content of subsidy instead of exposing ordinary citizens to avoidable pain and hardship.”

The presidential candidate for African Action Congress in the 2023 General Elections, Omowole Sowore, could also be sighted at the protest.
