Former President Olu-segun Obasanjo has hinted that an aspirant of African Democratic Congress ADC in Ogun State, Gboyega Nasir Isiaka popularly known as GNI will succeed incumbent governor Senator Ibikunle Amosun in 2019.
Obasanjo, who disclosed this in an interview with an Ogun State-based tabloid, said as a true son of Yewaland, GNI has shown commitment that he can lead the state as the first to do so from Ogun West Senatorial district.
I don’t have anything against Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka or Ogun west in general but I remain committed to Egba agenda since 2011 although the case will be different in 2019 as everybody including residents of Ogun Central know that it is time for Yewa agenda. A true son of Yewa must succeed Ibikunle Amosun,” Obasanjo stated.
While declaring his total support for Ogun West in 2019, Obasanjo urged the zone to speak with one voice so as to ensure the actualisation of the Yewa Agenda
